Sura 53 An-Najm (La Stella), versetto 6 – 18

1. ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَىٰ

   One of soundness. And he rose to (his) true form

   53:6

2. وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الْأَعْلَىٰ

   While he was in the higher (part of the) horizon.

   53:7

3. ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ

   Then he approached and descended

   53:8

4. فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ

   And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer.

   53:9

5. فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَىٰ

   And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed.

   53:10

6. مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰ

   The heart did not lie (about) what it saw.

   53:11

7. أَفَتُمَارُونَهُ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ

   So will you dispute with him over what he saw?

   53:12

8. وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ

   And he certainly saw him in another descent

   53:13

9. عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَىٰ

   At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary -

   53:14

10. عِنْدَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَىٰ

    Near it is the Garden of Refuge -

    53:15

11. إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ

    When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered (it).

    53:16

12. مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ

    The sight (of the Prophet) did not swerve, nor did it transgress (its limit).

    53:17

13. لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَىٰ

    He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord.

    53:18
