Sura 79 An-Nâzi‘ât (Le Strappanti Violente), versetto 15 – 26

1. هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰ

   Has there reached you the story of Moses? -

   79:15

2. إِذْ نَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى

   When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,

   79:16

3. اذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ

   Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.

   79:17

4. فَقُلْ هَلْ لَكَ إِلَىٰ أَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ

   And say to him, 'Would you (be willing to) purify yourself

   79:18

5. وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ

   And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear (Him)?'"

   79:19

6. فَأَرَاهُ الْآيَةَ الْكُبْرَىٰ

   And he showed him the greatest sign,

   79:20

7. فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ

   But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.

   79:21

8. ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ

   Then he turned his back, striving.

   79:22

9. فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ

   And he gathered (his people) and called out

   79:23

10. فَقَالَ أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْأَعْلَىٰ

    And said, "I am your most exalted lord."

    79:24

11. فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَىٰ

    So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first (transgression).

    79:25

12. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِمَنْ يَخْشَىٰ

    Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear (Allah).

    79:26
